The 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse

Lately Lamborghini has been rolling out new models left and right. They announced the Egoista, Sesto Elemento, Aventador, and the Veneno along with more Gallardo models than we can count. So it’s safe to say they’ve been busy these past few years. This time though, they bring us the closest thing to their Super Trofeo race cars: The Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse.

The Squadra Corse is Lamborghini’s domesticated Super Trofeo racer, just enough though to be road legal while still maintaining its’ racing heritage. It uses the same V10 found in the traditional Gallardo, but with 150 pounds shed from its’ body with more carbon fiber and an aerodynamics package the Squadra Corse is able to hit 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 199 mph.

Aside from the insanely stripped out Sesto Elemento, the Squadra Corse is Lamborghini’s next best thing to a track day/daily driver supercar; not to mention the Sesto Elemento is not road legal what-so-ever. Expect the Squadra Corse to roll out closer to 2014 at a price just under $260,000.
