With the release of the MP4-12C in 2011 McLaren has stormed back into the supercar limelight. Since the production of the F1 twenty years ago the company hasn’t given us much outside of Formula 1 race cars. Now that’s all beginning to change. Not only have we begun to see the MP4-12C gain some attention, alongside the release of the MP4-12C Spider and P1 most recently, McLaren seems to be offering more and more for us to drool over.
This time they tease us with a new concept that will rival Porsche’s 911 Carrera S, as well as Audi’s R8, and Nissan’s GT-R.
It’s called the P13, and is priced to compete. It’s estimated to be in the $120,000 – $200,000 range. Now here’s the fun stuff; It will come with the 12C’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-8. Although detuned to approximately 450 horsepower. Which means that the MP4-12C will be getting an upgrade itself most likely, very exciting!
Keep your eyes peeled for more info on the P13 as it’s expected to be released in 2016.
