SRT unveils their Time Attack Anodized Carbon Special Edition Viper at the NY Auto Show.

The SRT Viper is one of those supercars that doesn’t bow down to the competition. While other automakers and going with hybrid systems and those new age paddle gearboxes, the Viper holds true and only comes with a manual transmission connected to a massive 8.4 liter V10 engine delivering 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. In its’ 22 year existence the Viper hasn’t changed much looks-wise. However, through 5 generations and other various editions the Viper can still turn heads with its’ deep growl and aggressive looks.

Based on the Viper GTS, this Anodized Carbon Special Edition treatment is now being offered on their Viper Time Attack model. The Viper TA is SRT’s version of a track-focused, All-American supercar. In addition to the metallic matte paint job, you can expect a set of black wheels, black badging, black exhausts (insert “all black everything” here) along with orange brake calipers, and carbon fiber adorning the car’s key features like the rear trunk lip.

Inside the car you’ll find even more carbon fiber accents from the door panels to the steering wheel, as well as a carbon fiber badge on the dashboard. Orange accent stitching on the seats pair nicely with its’ orange brake calipers. Unfortunately don’t expect these to hit the showroom floor of course, only 10 or so will be made and the buyers have already claimed them for 2015 delivery.

Hats off to the team though, the SRT Viper Time Attack looks like quite a beast.
