Recently there’s been some buzz at the Dubai motor show, as there always is at motor shows. However, this is uniquely special because it’s not Ferrari or Lamborghini debuting something incredible but a small automaker from Lebanon. They are W Motors and this is their Lykan Hypersport Supercar.
The Lykan Hypersport Supercar is said to be Arabia’s first major supercar. Considering the economical development in the nation it only made sense to develop the most luxurious, exclusive supercar in the world according to OnCars India. And to back that that claim, W Motors will only produce 7 of them for $3.4 million each.
Lykan Hypersport Specifications
The Lykan Hypersport has a twin turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine that generates 750hp developed by the Porsche tuning squad RUF. With that the supercar will do 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 245mph.
Getting into the bespoke supercar is done via its suicide doors where you’re immediately greeted by a holographic display system, carbon fiber, titanium, and precious stones like rubies and diamonds. Starting to see where your $3.4 million goes to. The adornments are chosen by the owner so no Lykan Hypersport will be the same. The Lykan is built to owners specifications. Even down to the diamonds and rubies that W Motors have incorporated into the headlights.
Lykan Hypersport Cost
W Motors isn’t rushing the development of the cars either. Which is good considering the price tag and all the construction and technology going into this. Included in the purchase of the Lykan Hypersport though is a custom built Cyrus Klepcys watch valued around $200,000.
W Motors will also be making another version called the Lykan Supersport. It will have less of the precious stones and adornments including the holographic display. However, it will be substantially lower at $1.6 million and push more than 1,000hp. While the Lykan Hypersport is for the luxury car buyer, the Lykan Supersport will be targeted at buyers interested in pure performance. The Supersport will also be a limited run, this time of only 25 cars.
