Why we have professional instructors in the cars
So, why does Xtreme Xperience put professional instructors in the car with ambitious drivers like you anyways?
We can break it down into 2 main reasons:
- Keeping you safe out in the unpredictable environment of the racetrack.
- Helping you go as fast as possible around some of the best tracks in the country.
Although we take every safety precaution out there, piloting a high-powered supercar around the track can be dangerous without proper guidelines and proper rules. We know that you want to drift around the track and show off for your co-workers or your family/friends, but on-track antics are never allowed in professional events and we don’t allow them either.
Many of the vehicles in our fleet have over 600 horsepower and can rocket drivers to upwards of 200 MPH. This type of power demands attention, precision, and skill to exploit safely. It’s easy to think that a vehicle with a high level of performance has endless grip and braking ability but this is not the case. We want you to feel comfortable while driving, but we also want your senses on edge and a keen sense of respect for these capable machines. Our instructors will help you along the way.
Going fast is, well, it’s simply not as easy as it looks. It doesn’t take much skill to open the throttle and hold on as these rockets with wheels utilize their computer-controlled powertrains to slam through the gears. What does take skill is taking over control of the gearbox, and properly attacking the racing line with precision timed bursts of acceleration and braking. Guess who can show you how to hit the apex, get on the brakes and punch the gas at just the right time? You guessed it, our professional instructors.
What would happen if you didn’t have an instructor
Trundling around a racetrack in a high-powered machine with no direction would be akin to sending off your kid to public streets without teaching them how to drive. Unless you’re Lewis Hamilton or Tanner Foust, you’re going to need some help to go fast. We want you to have an epic time at Xtreme Xperience and the only way to ensure that you walk away feeling like a champion is to train you as a champion.
Unless you have intimate knowledge of the track, sending you out on the track alone in a supercar would not only be a frustrating experience but it could be downright dangerous. The reason is simple, without an instructor who knows the track making the calls, you won’t know what corner is coming up when to hit the brakes, when to hit the gas and where the optimum racing line is!

The Credentials of our driving instructors
So, what does it take to be a professional driving instructor with Xtreme Xperience anyways? Here’s a breakdown of what each and every instructor must have to even be considered for our team:
Minimum requirements for instructors:
- Up to date physical within the last 5 years
- 3-5 years of solo track experience or
- 10+ events instructing with another organization or
- 3-5 years of competitive racing or
- 5+ years of competitive autocross or
- Combination of any of the above
That’s right, to even be considered for an event, the instructor has to have some serious racing experience under their belt. This practical experience goes well and beyond anything that a day-to-day driver would encounter in the real world and allows our team to draw specific, meaningful feedback into every track outing.
What this means for you is more know-how and more inside knowledge from a professional that’s put in some serious lap time.
You have total control
Do you have any idea how hard it is for a racing driver to give up control of a vehicle and sit side-saddle with an amateur driver? Racing drivers are not cut from the same cloth as us mere humans, and for them to give up control by riding shotgun is a testament to their bravery and their faith in our raving fans! Our instructor is there to provide solid feedback and allow you to hit the highest speeds possible around our selection of epic tracks.
They are not there to keep a lid on your enthusiasm or keep you from punching the throttle down the straights. They’re there to help you go really, really fast in a car that was designed to do just that.
