Chevy’s Camaro Z28 Nurburgring lap in 7:37 minutes is nothing but a success for American Muscle.

This year marks the return of the all-American Chevrolet Camaro Z28. And of course with mostly all performance cars coming out these days they’re put to the one and only test that seems fitting to measure each one against the other. That is a lap of the Nurburgring. The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Nurburgring time sets a special tone for American muscle setting a lap time of 7:37 at the ring, which means it has beaten the latest Porsche 911 Carrera S, the Lexus LFA, Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and the SLS AMG plus a few more suprising big names… And it did it in the wet.

Chief Engineer for the new Camaro Z28, Al Oppenheiser, stated himself that the Z/28 could shave off a few extra seconds on a dry track. Along with the Corvette C7 Stingray, Chevrolet seems to be doing big things in 2014. The C7 Stingray is already at the top of most industry reviewers lists, and wouldn’t be surprised to see the Z/28 up there too.
